This summer in the Cotswolds, the rain poured, but the party never paused. Guests dined in tipi tents adorned with chandeliers, fire pits, and falling foliage, surrounded by romantic red florals.

A roaming band brought music to dinner, before fireworks lit up the skies. The night danced on with a DJ set and live percussion - the tipi was alive with rhythm, laughter and cocktails!

As the night drew to a close, guests wandered back to the pop-up glamping village. By morning, they woke to delicious bacon rolls and fresh coffee - the perfect finale to a truly unforgettable party.

Live music set the tone all day - from country western with The Moonstars to classic covers from The Sean Jackson Band, with The Strikes bringing surprise performances across the festival grounds!

Guests explored a vibrant food court offering paella, stone baked pizzas, burgers, cocktails were made to order, a cinema tent played family favourite movies, garden games galore, glitter artists and more - every detail designed for a truly unforgettable day.

Our oyster shucker worked his way through the crowd with buckets hanging from his belt, opening oysters to order with quick, practised hands while cocktails made their way around the lawn.

Simple things, done well, make for a very good afternoon.

Earlier this summer, we hosted a party inspired by an enchanted forest - with a marquee transformed into a woodland wonderland.

The enchanted forest theme carried through every detail, from bespoke stationery and natural toned tableware to immersive entertainment and abundant florals. Arrangements in soft pinks, lilacs and deep woodland greens spilled across the tables, while towering tree-like displays created a canopy overhead. Layered with moss, trailing foliage and the gentle glow of candlelight, the scene felt as though guests were dining on the forest floor beneath the moonlight.

Last year we brought bold nostalgia and bespoke design together for an unforgettable “80s themed” 40th birthday. Guests were immersed in the era from the moment they arrived…

A roaming band brought the 80s energy playing all the greatest hits, while the room was illuminated with larger than life 80s icons - from Madonna and Prince to Pat Sharp and Adam Ant!! Every detail reminded guests of the 80s era… Rubik’s Cube poseur tables, Pac-Man stationery, and cassette tape name place settings. Even the illuminated tables added a retro twist of fun and elegance to the dining experience.

The evening unravelled with a neon disco themed photo booth, retro cocktail bar, and a DJ booth styled like a giant boombox. The Top of the Pops inspired dance floor, complete with truss fittings and silver disco balls, provided the perfect setting for guests to dance the night away.

Designing and delivering immersive themed parties is where Henry Bonas truly excels - transforming concepts into beautifully executed, one-of-a-kind parties!

Guests were greeted with a champagne reception and delicious canapés, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. The winter glam theme sparkled through every detail, from the sophisticated cocktail bar to the decadent bowl food. As the night unfolded, the energy soared with dancing, fueled by the beats of a DJ accompanied by live percussion. A magical winter wonderland came to life in the Cotswolds for a glamorous joint 50th celebration. Guests were greeted with a champagne reception and delicious canapés, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. The winter glam theme sparkled through every detail, from the sophisticated cocktail bar to the decadent bowl food. As the night unfolded, the energy soared with dancing, fueled by the beats of a DJ accompanied by live percussion. Espresso martinis added a touch of warmth to the festivities, creating the perfect atmosphere for celebrating this milestone in true luxury style. A night to remember!

Candlelight is one of the fastest ways to turn a party into something far more romantic.

For this winter 50th, we created a ceiling of candles suspended inside a marquee set within our client’s garden. As night fell, the atmosphere shifted into something darker, warmer and more intimate, with the flicker of candlelight making guests feel as though they were dining beneath the stars.

Perfect for Christmas, when everything should feel a little richer and more indulgent.

The marquee was designed to sit comfortably within its surroundings, wrapping around the existing Cotswold stone wall so the garden became part of the room, creating a space that felt effortless and entirely at home in the garden.

A setting designed for unhurried evenings. Candlelight never tries too hard, and that’s exactly why it works.

We had the privilege of designing and delivering this gorgeous wedding in the heart of the Cotswolds - a setting that perfectly captures the romance and elegance of winter at its finest.

Guests dined beneath the moonlit sky and the star-lit lining of a lakeside marquee. Tables glowed with layers of candlelight, from tall candelabras to the soft flicker of tea lights, while abundant green and white florals brought a natural softness.

As night fell, the lakeside marquee offered a striking view of the laser show as it lit up the waterfront, marking a spectacular transition into the evening’s party.

For the first dance, we created a dramatic drop reveal, unveiling the couple in a way that felt elegant, unexpected and truly memorable. What followed was an unforgettable party. With guests filling the dance floor, cocktails flowing, and energy soaring well into the early hours. It was the kind of night people will be talking about for years to come.

U N D E R W A T E R 🐟🐠

Last week’s rain has brought back memories of one of our favourite events - an immersive, underwater themed party that transported guests to a world beneath the waves. At Henry Bonas, we’re all about creating experiences that captivate the imagination and this event was nothing short of extraordinary.

The reception kicked off in spectacular style with a shipwreck bar, where bartenders dressed as sailors served sea inspired cocktails. Stilt walking mermaids entertained guests, while a lively sea shanty band set the perfect nautical tone. But then, the sea turned violent - waves crashed and lights flashed. Pirates, brandishing swords, appeared from the mist and led guests through a cascading waterfall and into an extraordinary underwater dining tent.

Inside, ship portholes offered views of the deep ocean and jellyfish lights floated overhead. The dining tables draped in deep blue linens, were adorned with coral accents and flickering candlelight. Fishermen humorously sold fish to delighted guests while scuba divers swam around the room.
