With 2020 now upon us, Henry Bonas expert party planners have been looking back at some of their highlights from 2019 and wow what a year it has been!
A Spring Wedding
The wedding season kicked off with a stunning wedding for 250 guests. The day began with the wedding ceremony in a quintessential Cotswold church decorated with towering plinths of soft, natural florals.
The reception was held at the bride’s family home with drinks and canapes in the garden overlooking the breath-taking views of the Cotswolds.
Following the reception, the guests made their way into the dining marquee ready for a feast. Then came the big reveal of the dancefloor and band and everyone danced the night away.
Luxury 50th Birthday Party in the Cotswolds
Guests were wowed by a high production dinner-dance. 200 guests were served a luxurious three-course dinner on long banqueting tables decorated with masses of candlelight and elegant tableware.
A live 12-piece party band kicked off the dancing before the DJ closed the show.
An unforgettable birthday celebration.
Abba Themed Birthday Party in London
As bespoke London party planners, the Henry Bonas team transformed an exclusive London venue using glitter balls, shimmer walls, slash curtains and an LED dancefloor for a very groovy night.
We had actors in 70s costumes greeting guests, cocktails from the round mirrored bar and sequined food stalls offering mac ‘n’ cheese and mini burgers.
The highlight of the night was the fantastic performance from Bjorn Again the renowned ABBA tribute band. Who doesn’t like a sing along to an ABBA classic!
Summer Glamping Weekend in the Countryside
They began the weekend celebration with swimming, garden games, afternoon tea and live jazz music.
This relaxed afternoon affair then moved onto the evening party with colourful blooms decorating the traditional marquee. A surprise opera performance during dinner really wowed the guests before they filled the dancefloor.
We created a Glamping village with gorgeous bell tents for guest accommodation. With everyone staying on-site guests didn’t have far to go when calling it a night.
Waking the next day to the smell of freshly ground barista coffee and a beautifully presented brunch to wrap up the weekend.
Autumn Country Wedding
With the burnt-orange leaves and misty mornings, Autumn is a magical time to get married.
Our bride and groom hired a stunning country house with formal gardens and acres of grounds to get married. With its very own church on the estate, we organised a cosy ceremony with lots of candlelight and natural foliage to soften the surroundings.
A walk through the gardens to the drinks reception with a traditional Serbian band and dancing to get everyone in the party spirit. The dining marquee was decorated with gorgeous Autumnal tones, long rustic tables and a starlit marquee ceiling. Guests feasted on a seasonal British menu before hitting the cocktails.
The big surprise was the breath-taking firework display lighting up the night. As bespoke wedding organisers, we can help create your dream wedding.
Black Tie Winter Birthday Party
November can be a cold and wet time to organise a marquee party, but that didn’t stop us.
Gorgeous warm colours, a cosy black marquee lining and an abundance of seasonal greenery paired with hanging glass tealights made for an enchanting 50th birthday party. 120 guests were welcomed by delicious canapes and smoothing live jazz band before being seated for a formal dinner.
Speeches and toasts were followed by our DJ nailing the party playlist.
