A castle, a horse and carriage, sea views; it doesn’t get more fairy tale than Lulworth Castle. Located on the south coast of Dorset, close to the famous Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, Lulworth Castle offers the most romantic setting for a wedding.

As you enter the castle gates and head up the sweeping drive you are met by the magnificent castle, originally built as a hunting lodge. Following a fire in 1929 it has been partly restored creating a blank canvas with freedom to decorate how you wish. Lulworth gives you flexibility, with plenty of options for the wedding ceremony and abundant outdoor space.

Choose to say your vows inside the castle itself or opt for one of the churches in the castle grounds including the Catholic C18th St Mary’s Chapel or the historic C15th St Andrew’s Church. Whichever option you choose all your guests are on site and won’t have far to go.

Have drinks surrounding the castle on the lawn or the rose garden, this makes the perfect setting for a beautiful string quartet with canapes circulating. Cheer the bride and groom as they arrive by horse and carriage.

As guests enter the beautifully restored castle they will be wowed by the architectural beauty. Enhance with twinkling candlelight, towering flower displays and romantic drapes to create a magical dining experience for your friends and family. Feast like kings and queens on an indulgent three course dinner.

Moving into the other half of the castle get the party started with a live band and cocktails from the bar. Add stylish chill out seating areas to give guests somewhere to rest their feet and catch up with friends.

As night falls surprise your guests with a breath taking fireworks display. Standing on the giant steps to the castle to view the fireworks over the parkland really gives the best viewpoint. Before piling back in for more dancing and wood fired pizzas to keep you going.

As the evening draws to a close guests depart, and the happy couple can stay in the wide range of cosy honeymoon accommodation available on the estate or treat yourself with a stay at the trendy nearby Pig on the Beach at Studland Bay.

We love creating breath taking weddings with memories that will last a lifetime. If you are looking for help planning your dream wedding please get in touch with Henry Bonas luxury wedding planners.
